CASMT, a Changzhou-based automation equipment maker, says it has completed and installed a second-generation assembly and test line for embodied robots. The company describes the line as covering steps from component manufacturing through whole-robot assembly and performance testing.
CASMT says its finished-robot test workstation covers three process groups: black-and-white calibration-board checks for camera systems, robot motion testing and voice-wake interaction testing. It presents these as manufacturing quality checks.
The company specifies an approximate 4,000 × 3,000 × 3,000 mm footprint for its calibration workstation, including the calibration mechanism, control system and safety enclosure.
The motion-test process comprises nine checks, including communications, static and dynamic noise, movement, climbing and whole-body self-checks, according to CASMT. The company also describes joint vision-and-motion calibration and checks for wheeled bases.
